The Class of 2030 is chartered.

Sprint Zero opens today. 800 seats. Three tuition paths. One covenant. The college of work is now a real school — and its first class walked in this morning.

Today, at 08:00 PST, the Forkaia Charter was ratified and Sprint Zero opened for its first-ever cohort. The Class of 2030 is officially chartered — 800 Bachelor of Work seats, one covenant, and a curriculum that graduates its students not with a diploma of theory but with an offer letter read aloud on stage. This is Issue 001 of The Forkaia Dispatch. It's also the first day of the new college.

Every school worth belonging to has a Founding Day. Ours is September 3rd, marked in perpetuity as the anniversary of the first Charter signing. Every year, on this date, incoming students will sign the same document that today's Class of 2030 signed — and every alumnus, wherever they are, is invited to attend a Chapter dinner where the Charter is read aloud one more time.

What opens today

Sprint Zero — the seven-day orientation cycle — went live this morning. Every enrolled student now moves through Charter Day, Compass Day, Studio Draft, Guild Day, Mentor Match, Portfolio Day, and their first shipped task by next Sunday. By this time next week, every member of the Class of 2030 will have a Studio, a Guild, a Cohort Hall, a Practitioner-in-Residence, and their first Work-Study credit posted to their ledger.

Three tuition paths opened today alongside Sprint Zero. Freshman Monthly — $59/month, cancel anytime — for students who want to try the model before they commit. Freshman Annual — $588/year, a $120 savings versus monthly — the anchor path most students take. Bachelor of Work — $1,999 for a full 4-year degree — the flagship credential and the only path to The Ring at Commencement.

What was chartered

The Forkaia Charter — the founding covenant of the school — was ratified this morning by the Dean's office and signed by every founding member of the Class of 2030. Seven articles. One covenant. It is now the constitutional document of the college, and every future amendment must protect what it protects.

"We hold that the traditional college has failed the modern learner; that the internship has failed the modern employer; and that the covenant between school and student, once meaningful, has become transactional. In its place we build this."

The Charter binds the school as much as it binds the student. It commits Forkaia to real work, real mentorship, and real credentials. It commits every student to shipping what is asked, honoring their Guild, and — if they earn The Ring — carrying the Warm-Intro Oath for the rest of their working life. Read the full Charter here.

What comes next

The rest of the calendar is now live. Tuition and admissions stay open year-round with rolling enrollment. The first quarterly Dean's Board publishes December 31. The first quarterly League season begins next Monday. The first Commencement for the Class of 2030 is scheduled for May 2030. The Charter Day dinners in the nine founding Chapters are tonight. The Ring is being cast now, in a single hand-numbered run of 800.
