WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a Financial Risk Intern to support our risk management efforts across multiple startups and investment projects. This role will involve developing risk models, analyzing market dynamics, and designing tools to help track and mitigate exposure. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to work in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop models to assess market, credit, and liquidity risk across startups and investments.
Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis for new ventures or expansion plans.
Track financial health indicators such as volatility, cash burn, and exposure concentration.
Build interactive dashboards to visualize portfolio risk in real time.
Collaborate with internal teams to refine risk frameworks and propose mitigation strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Risk Management, Applied Mathematics, Financial Engineering, or a related field.
Familiarity with financial modeling tools such as Excel, Python (NumPy, SciPy, pandas), or R.
Understanding of financial risk metrics such as VaR, CVaR, Sharpe Ratio, and drawdown analysis.
Awareness of financial regulations and frameworks (e.g., Basel III, IFRS 9).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS (NOT REQUIRED)
Experience with Monte Carlo simulations or historical scenario modeling.
Exposure to GRC platforms, ERP systems, or enterprise-level internal controls.
