Forkaia’s one of a kind experiential learning platform helps students fill the gap between their education and professional careers and helps them get the relevant work experience they need in order to make themselves more marketable to prospective employers and Universities. Our innovative platform trains students to become employees in their field. We work with Universities and Employers to bring a turnkey, dynamic work experience to students.
In 2017, we started giving college students a chance to participate in our startup incubator, get real life experience and grow. We believe students deserve better tools to assist them in their journey. So we built a vast ecosystem of employers, experiential learning programs, platforms, talent, tools and resources to help them prosper.
Today, we have helped thousands of students get work experience, get into grad school and land the jobs they want.
In Forkaia’s experiential learning platform, participants get to work on innovative new companies, projects and tasks tailored to their interests. Participants gain experience working on different companies across multiple industries, learning the different facets of Venture Capital, Innovation, Tech and Entrepreneurship and what it takes to bring an idea to market. Participants also get an opportunity to get first hand experience building their portfolio working on consulting projects in their related fields, giving them great exposure and a chance to showcase their skills and capabilities while learning from mentors in their aspiring fields.
Career coaches, mentors and performance coaches provide the guidance, motivation, and role modeling they need in their professional journeys. We will help participants explore career paths, set goals, develop contacts, build their brand and share resources so they can achieve their goals.
At Forkaia®, you get a rare opportunity to get into tech without needing experience. While working on an innovative company is a learning experience in and of itself, participants have found the experience even more meaningful because we offer more explicit mentorship. OUR MISSION
As we navigate the challenges of the 21st century, we need a new approach to education that prepares students for the demands of the future. The landscape of college education is shifting and traditional classroom learning is no longer enough. The old ways of teaching and learning are slowly crumbling and a new model is emerging. We are now entering an era of experiential learning where students learn by doing. This approach is aimed at preparing students for their careers and giving them the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the workplace. We truly believe AI will change everything, mostly for good but jobs will be dissipated. A lot of them. We want to soften the shock effect by getting humans prepared for these changes, teaching the skills they need so to thrive in an ai-powered world.
The future of work and education is the combination of the two, a hybrid model. We’re tearing down the current system and rebuilding it in blocks. Education needs to be taught in shorter sprints, or “blocks”, you learn In short blocks then immediately apply those theories in work. Then connect the blocks (skills/educations) like Tetris, creating different pathways for yourself. The possibilities are endless. The future of college is the college of work. This means that students will learn a little and work a little. This approach is designed to bridge the gap between the academic world and the professional world. It will help students to develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their chosen careers.
